What a weekend I've just had. Went to Idaho, to visit Jack. It was so much fun to see her and hang out with her. Though, Moscow is a pretty boring place. Not much to do besides shop. =p
Any who . . .
I went with mum, Lynda, Kim, and Jessica. It was a lot of fun. We left home at about nine on Friday morning (an hour later than planned, not bad for us). The drive was fairly uneventful. Driving through Eastern Washington and Idaho is not the most exciting drive. We did stop at Thorps, this really cool antique and fruit and other neat items store. I saw the vanity of my dreams, 'twas very cool. It was all vintage 20's looking. Kim had to pull me away from it.
We got to Moscow at about six in the evening or so. Not to bad for driving with the weakest bladders in the world. Well, maybe Aimee's is weaker. =p
Jack was waiting for us up in her dorm. We got there and went up. Met her friends. Maylean seemed really cool, I hope her and Jack can come to Sakuracon. Oh, she had these really neat pineapple pajamas. =p
Then we went over to the hotel and got all situated. It was all right. Not the biggest room, but bigger than Jack's dorm. Then we went around Moscow for a while, checking stuff out. Mum and Lynda went to a coffee shop while Kim, Jessica, Jack, and I hung out at the dorm.
I was supposed to stay in the dorm with Jack, but because I stayed up ALL night Thursday night I was a bit rummy. Mum decided it would be best for me to go back to the hotel. Best night of sleep I've had in a long time.
Saturday we did some shopping. Ate at a really delicious Italian restaurant. I had spaghetti and meatballs that were SO good. Kim had the same and did not forget to go on about her saucy balls.
After lunch we walked around downtown. Went into this really cool shop called Electika. was lusing over a pair of thigh high boots, a pirate flag, some clothing and costume items, and a couple wigs. They also had a more adult place in the back (a couple of guys came out with brown paper bags), but we didn't go back there. The girl who was working there was really friendly. She was a theater major at the college (At least she was a theater major, I'm just assuming it was UI she was talking about). She was telling us about her costumes she's making and how a lot of people are dressing up as elves this year and how she's going to the midnight showing of Return of the King in Spokane. She was very friendly.
After that we went over to Pullman so mum and Lynda could get some Cougar Gold, best damn cheese in the universe. We had a little trouble with finding the bookstore over there, the campus at WASU is ENORMOUS. The animal hospital there was bigger than the people hospital in Moscow.
We got to see the fraternity and sorority houses at both schools. Nice houses, really nice houses. They had this really neat Tudor style house at UI that I wish I would have gotten some pictures of.
The architecture at UI is really impressive. They have this auditorium where the choir performs with these beautiful stained glass windows. The architecture inside the place was like a gothic cathedral. It was just impressive.
Saturday night we all stayed in the hotel room. It was a bit crowded, but we managed. We played some games and hung out. Jessica and Kim were really hyper. Plus Kim had some really rancid gas. It was still really fun and amusing.
We left today about an hour later than planned. It was kind of sad leaving because I wanted Jack to come with us. I didn't cry this time, but I felt like it as we were walking away from the campus. Damnit why can't she be closer?
The drive home was longer. Seemed even longer because of an accident that happened by Cle Elum. We were stop and go for about thirty minutes. It wasn't too bad, Kim and Jessica made it interesting anyway.
We stopped in North Bend. First at Starbucks then at the gas station. It sure is hunting season. Saw a couple of trucks with dead dear in the back. A kid was even petting one, that was a bit disturbing. Mum almost left Kim and Jessica at the gas station, that was pretty funny.
Any who, so we got home at ten and have been settling in ever since. The rats, cat (haven't seen Smeagol/Gollum), and dog are still alive so dad did feed them and stuff. Hell, he even fixed the rat cage.
In other news, Heidi's due date came and went. If the baby isn't born by Friday they're going to induce labor. I can't imagine how she's feeling.
