I'm officially engaged!!

Jarred just proposed!! I had asked him to meet me outside of Carnegie (the geology department) to drive me home tonight. I came out and he was sitting on the bench just outside the front doors. He whistled at me because I didn't see him, we chatted for a minute, and then he said he had something for me. He kneeled down and picked up a magnolia blossom off the ground, and he continued kneeling as he handed me the flower. I bent over to get it, and I realized that there was a ring around the stamen. (Oh God, I just used "stamen" in a real sentence.)

It's gorgeous, y'all. It's about a half carat princess-cut diamond, with a 14 carat white gold ring.

Oh my goodness, I am getting married. To Jarred. The man of my dreams.
