Title: Community: Future of Days Past (2/2)
Summary: Future Annie goes back in time to stop an important event that would chang their future.
Spoilers: All of Community at this time and X-men: Days of Future Past movie. Present takes place a few days after season 5 finale.

A/N: Part 2 of my X-men: Days of Future Past themed fic. How different is this Annie? Apparently some characters from my AU fic, Community: The Next Generation came into the mix with this future Study Group. Annie Edison gets off her seat as she walks to Jeff Winger. She looks at him for a moment. With all her strength, she slaps him in the face. He falls to the ground.
“What the hell, Annie!” Jeff yells as he gets back on his feet. Annie grabs him as she kisses him in the lips. For the moment, Jeff forgets about the pain as he embraces her.
She breaks their kiss as she said, “Hello, Milord.” She goes back to kissing him.
Jeff breaks the kiss. He looks at her confused by her actions. “Annie want the hell was that for?” He asks.
Annie ignores his question as she starts rubbing his chest. “I miss you and that chest of yours.” She said.
“Thanks for the compliment but we just saw each other this morning.” Jeff said. He stops her hand from rubbing him. “Not that there’s anything wrong with you kissing me and all but what is going on?” Jeff asks.
“Jeff, I’m from the future.” Annie said.
“Great. You and Abed are playing pretend again.” Jeff said. Annie slaps him in the face again. “Oww, what the hell is with the slaps?” Jeff asks as he rubs his cheek.
“That one was for thinking of me as a kid again and the first one was for dying on me.” Annie said.
“Dying on you?” Jeff asks surprise. “Annie, you are not making any sense right now.” He said.
Annie groans. “God, this time travel thing is so stupid.” She said. She grabs Jeff’s arm and takes his phone out of his pocket. She starts moving him outside of the Study Room. As she walks, she starts texting on his phone.
“What are you doing?” Jeff asks.
“Getting proof.” Annie said.
They end up in one of the hallways in the campus as Annie stops as she waits. Abed Nadir walks up to them. This is the present day clean face Abed. He looks at his phone, intrigue by the text Annie sent him.
“You’re future Annie’s mind in present day Annie’s body. This day just turned into X-men:Days of Future Past.” Abed said.
“Very funny you guys but I’m not playing one of your dumb games today.” Jeff said completely annoy by them.
“Jeff, did you look into Annie’s eyes?” Abed asks. “Because if you did, you would have notice how different they are. They look like they have seen lost and pain as if she had experience the hard ships of an even darker timeline then we know.” He said.
“Okay, that is just stupid. I’m leaving.” Jeff said as he starts to leave.
Annie grabs his arm again as she pulls him close to her. She puts her mouth close to his ear. She whispers, “It was me you were thinking about when you open that door to save us back in Borchert’s lab.”
Jeff stops as he looks at Annie. “How did you know that?” He asks quietly.
“You told me, you idiot. You finally told me and then you died.” Annie said sadly.

Jeff, Abed and Annie have gotten together in one of the supply closets on campus.
“Okay, Annie. Explain to us what happened in the future.” Jeff said.
“Today is the day that Chang got fired from his job with the School Board. An hour later, City College got approved for a grant for their robotics department by that same School Board. At first, City College were designing robot spiders but someone decided it would be much cooler to make 8 feet tall robots called Titans. City College mass produced the Titans just in case we fought back. Their mistake was that they didn’t realize that they installed scanners made in China that couldn’t tell the difference between Greendale students and everyone else. Pretty soon we had this robot invasion that took out everyone.” Annie said.
“So the Terminator saga was accurate.” Jeff said. Annie gives him a hard look at that remark.
“How did you get into your younger body?” Abed asks.
“Another study group was formed to figure out a way to save humanity and one of our new members is one of the smartest people to ever come to Greendale. She built a flash drive that can travel to time but it was defective. Abed figured out a way to combine the hardware of Raquel with the flash drive to make this kind of projection with a person’s mind.” Annie said.
“We’re speaking to an even older Annie, then.” Abed said.
“You make it sound like that’s a bad thing. And this was your idea to begin with, Abed. I was against this in the first place because I thought it wasn’t going to work and in order for me to have enough time to be here, there has to be a distraction. Those Titans can scan energy signals and if it wasn’t for the distraction, I’ll be dead right now.” Annie said.
“What kind of distraction?” Abed asks.
“In my time, I’m in Borchert’s lab with Abed monitoring my brainwaves while the survivors of Greendale are fighting in hope that I succeed. Britta and Shirley are just some of the people that are trying to keep the Titans at bay.” Annie said.
“Are you kidding me? Everyone survives except me?” Jeff asks, wondering how come the rest of the members of their group are still alive.
Annie takes a deep breath. “You, Craig, Chang, Rachel, Duncan, Hickey and Troy. None of you guys are still alive in my time, but your death affected me the most.” She said. Jeff and Abed are scare by this reveal. Annie walks to Jeff as she takes his phone out of his pocket. She looks at the time on the phone. “We have to go. Chang’s hearing starts in 30 minutes.” She said.
Annie leaves as Abed and Jeff exchange glances. Abed focus changes to Jeff’s suit, questioning how come he is already dress to defend Chang. “Mock Trial from class.” Jeff said. Abed nods as the two leave the supply closet.

At the court house for the school board, the board members watch Benjamin Chang sitting in a chair in front of them. Their eyes grow vicious every second. At the center of the row of board members sits Carl Bladt. On his left sits Richie Countee. They glare at Chang as Carl starts opening a folder that is lying out in front of him.
“Mr. Benjamin Franklin Chang, you were tasked with taking a bag filled with General Ford dollars to the city bursar’s office. That money never reached it’s destination due to all of it being spent to replace Mr. Chang’s teeth with diamonds. Now these diamonds have been removed from his mouth and have been put in as replacements for the money that was supposed to be bring in the first place to the office. Nevertheless, this is a violation on the trust of the school board requiring us to terminate your position on the school board.” Carl said.
“Objection.” A voice calls out from outside. Jeff, Annie and Abed walk into the room as they stand behind Chang.
“What is this?” Richie asks. The board members are enrage by they’re arrival.
“This is me defending my client from termination.” Jeff said.
“Your client?” Carl asks.
“As the only law professor in Greendale, I am obligated by Dean Pelton to defend any representative of Greendale Community College by choice. Seeing as how Chang is still a math teacher at Greendale.” Jeff said.
“Professor.” Chang said.
“Shut up.” Jeff said to Chang. Jeff turns his attention back to the school board. “I am here to defend my client.” He said.
“Fine, but this doesn’t change anything. Mr. Chang stole a bunch of money from us and used it for his own personal needs.” Carl said.
“Which he replaced with the diamond teeth that have the exact same value as the General Ford dollars in his possession.” Jeff counters back.
“He destroyed our trust.” Richie said.
“The kind of trust that the school board almost destroyed with Greendale when they tried to sell the school to Subway?” Jeff asks. The board members become silent. “Don’t play games with me. I will go to your level if you want me to.” He said.
The board members start whispering to each other. Jeff waits patiently as the board members make a decision. “Mr. Benjamin Chang, you are hereby free of your crime and will continue on working with the school board. We will have a one hour recess before we come back to discuss grant entitlement.” Carl said.
The board members leave as Jeff, Annie, Abed and Chang start celebrating. Abed looks at Annie as he asks, “Is this changing your future?”

In the Future, Eric takes out a City College Titan with his stun batons. He stops for a second as he notices the Luiz Guzman perfectly intact. “Guys, it’s working.” He shouts as he takes out another Titan coming at him.
“That’s great and all but we still have Titans trying to turn us into skewers.” Britta shouts as she takes out a Titan with one of her paintball shotguns.
“Annie still needs more time.” Shirley shouts. She takes out another Titan behind Britta.
“Um guys, we’re the only ones left.” Ella shouts as she teleports around the campus. The scattered corpses of their small army lay with the bodies of the destroyed Titans around the campus.
Shirley gets stab in the back by one of the Titans. Two more Titans come in and stab her. Shirley with all her strength takes out a paint bomb. “I’ll see you in hell.” She said to the Titans as she presses the button on the paint bomb. The paint bomb explodes covering the Titans with paint along with Shirley.
Ella notices the explosion and teleports to Eric. She grabs him and teleports by Britta. They start getting surround by the Titans. Ella places her left hand on Eric’s arm and her right hand on Britta’s shoulder. “Britta, shoulder now.” Ella said.
Britta swipes the touch phone on Ella’s right wrist. The Titans lunge at them with their blades. The three disappear.

Down in the lab, the three teleport in midair inside the room. They fall to the ground as Abed is caught off guard by them. One of Eric’s stun batons falls onto the seated Annie. The tip of the baton shocks Annie in the chest. She starts feeling pain as her mind in the past feels it too.

In the room at the court house, Annie feels the pain coming onto her chest. She drops to the ground in pain. Jeff and Abed quickly go to her as they try to figure out what is wrong. “Annie, what’s going on?” Jeff asks as he goes to her side and tries to comfort her.

In the future down in Borchert’s Lab, Abed quickly removes the stun baton on Annie. He tosses the baton aside as he check on Annie. Britta and Eric recover from their fall. Britta notices blood on the floor coming from Ella. Ella’s stomach has been stab by one of the Titans when they teleported back down. Eric and Britta work on Ella to try and stop the bleeding.
“Ella, hang in there.” Britta said.
“Come on, don’t die on me.” Eric said.
Ella starts coughing up blood as she places her hand on Eric’s cheek. “We were supposed to dance together when all of this was done.” She said to Eric.
Ella smiles at Eric as she dies from the loss of blood. Britta and Eric start tearing up at their loss. A crash can be heard outside of the lab. Eric stands up and takes the other stun baton with him as he leaves the lab to face the Titans outside.

Back in the present in the court room, Annie recovers from the pain. Jeff and Abed looks at her worry by her sudden pain.
“I’m okay. I’m okay, you guys.” Annie said.
“Are you still future Annie?” Abed asks.
“Yeah, but I don’t have much time.” She said. Annie stands up and walks up to Chang. She looks at him for a moment.
“Careful.” Jeff said.
“Chang, what happens next is up to you. I know that the stuff you did to us back then was because we always neglected you but look at you. You have a job, you still hang with us and you’ll always betray us for your own needs. I can’t tell you what to do. Nobody should have that kind of power. So I’m going to put my faith in you because that is all I can do now.” Annie said.
She turns around as she starts walking away. Jeff and Abed follow her, confuse by her speech. As they leave the room, Jeff asks, “Wait, that’s it?”
“We aren’t even going to see if he stops the grant from happening. That seems highly illogical.” Abed said.
“I was sent back here to create a different timeline. I’m not here to neglect a person’s free will. What happens next is all up to fate. Now take me back to the Study Room before my original mind goes back to my body.” Annie said.

Back in the future, Eric dies to a blade from one of the Titans outside of the lab. Britta stands ready wielding her two paintball shotguns by the entrance. The Titans start to come in before everything turns white.

In the present, Annie wakes up in the Study Room. She is sitting at her seat around the Study Table Mark II. Sitting at his seat is Jeff, texting on his phone. Annie groans as she still feels a pain on her chest.
“You’re awake.” Jeff said.
“What happened?” Annie asks.
“You don’t remember?” Jeff asks.
“No. All I remember is that I felt my chest being hit with a Taser.” She said.
“It’s best you don’t know.” Jeff said. He looks at her deeply with a smile.
“What?” Annie asks.
“Nothing. I’m just thinking about the future.” Jeff said.
“What does your future have anything to do with me?” Annie asks.

In the future, the mind of Annie returns to her body. She opens her eyes as she looks around. She finds herself in a stylized supply closet. She looks down at what she is wearing. She is wearing a strapless white wedding gown. She feels the top of her head as the tiara that Pierce left her sits on her head. She walks to the door of the closet as she opens it slowly leaving a creak for her to see outside in the hallway.
“And that’s how you build a hand held teleporter.” Ella said outside. She is talking to Eric as they walk together. They are both dressed up. Eric is wearing a tuxedo while Ella is dress in a purple evening dress.
“Ella, does it look like I care?” Eric asks. Ella shrugs at him. “How are the contacts working for you?” He asks.
“There’re nice. They help me out much better.” Ella said.
“Will they help you out when I beat you in a dance off?” Eric asks.
Ella laughs. “You’re on, Street Fighter.” She said as they leave around a corner.
Annie walks out of the supply closet. “Hey, Edison.” A voice calls out behinds her. She turns around to see Chang in a tuxedo walking to her.
“Congratulations.” He said giving her two thumbs up as he leaves around the same corner.
Abed walks out from the corner. He is wearing a tuxedo and his face has a moustache. He is holding in his hand a wedding bouquet.
“Abed?” Annie asks.
Abed pause for a moment as he smiles. “Welcome back.” He said. He gives Annie the bouquet. “Come, I’m supposed to take you to the Chuppah.” He said as he covers her face with a veil that is connected to the tiara.
They walk together as they reach Study Room F. Inside the room, chairs for the guest are set up as well as a wedding Chuppah. Sitting on the chairs inside are all the people in Annie’s life at Greendale. Britta and Shirley are dress as bridesmaids. Dean Pelton is crying as he is dress as the best man. Rabbi Chang is under the Chuppah, waiting patiently along with the groom. Annie looks in shock at her groom. Waiting for her is Jeff Winger dressed in a tuxedo, giving off his loving smile that he always gives her. Annie walks around the Chuppah seven times as she finally enters.
“Hello, Milady.” Jeff said as they share a smile.

Back in the future, Eric dies to a blade from one of the Titans outside of the lab. Britta stands ready wielding her two paintball shotguns by the entrance. The Titans start to come in before everything turns white.

In the present, Annie wakes up in the Study Room. She is sitting at her seat around the Study Table Mark II. Sitting at his seat is Jeff, texting on his phone. Annie groans as she still feels a pain on her chest.
“You’re awake.” Jeff said.
“What happened?” Annie asks.
“You don’t remember?” Jeff asks.
“No. All I remember is that I felt my chest being hit with a Taser.” She said.
“It’s best you don’t know.” Jeff said. He looks at her deeply with a smile.
“What?” Annie asks.
“Nothing. I’m just thinking about the future.” Jeff said.
“What does your future have anything to do with me?” Annie asks.

In the future, the mind of Annie returns to her body. She opens her eyes as she looks around. She finds herself in a stylized supply closet. She looks down at what she is wearing. She is wearing a strapless white wedding gown. She feels the top of her head as the tiara that Pierce left her sits on her head. She walks to the door of the closet as she opens it slowly leaving a creak for her to see outside in the hallway.
“And that’s how you build a hand held teleporter.” Ella said outside. She is talking to Eric as they walk together. They are both dressed up. Eric is wearing a tuxedo while Ella is dress in a purple evening dress.
“Ella, does it look like I care?” Eric asks. Ella shrugs at him. “How are the contacts working for you?” He asks.
“There’re nice. They help me out much better.” Ella said.
“Will they help you out when I beat you in a dance off?” Eric asks.
Ella laughs. “You’re on, Street Fighter.” She said as they leave around a corner.
Annie walks out of the supply closet. “Hey, Edison.” A voice calls out behinds her. She turns around to see Chang in a tuxedo walking to her.
“Congratulations.” He said giving her two thumbs up as he leaves around the same corner.
Abed walks out from the corner. He is wearing a tuxedo and his face has a moustache. He is holding in his hand a wedding bouquet.
“Abed?” Annie asks.
Abed pause for a moment as he smiles. “Welcome back.” He said. He gives Annie the bouquet. “Come, I’m supposed to take you to the Chuppah.” He said as he covers her face with a veil that is connected to the tiara.
They walk together as they reach Study Room F. Inside the room, chairs for the guest are set up as well as a wedding Chuppah. Sitting on the chairs inside are all the people in Annie’s life at Greendale. Britta and Shirley are dress as bridesmaids. Dean Pelton is crying as he is dress as the best man. Rabbi Chang is under the Chuppah, waiting patiently along with the groom. Annie looks in shock at her groom. Waiting for her is Jeff Winger dressed in a tuxedo, giving off his loving smile that he always gives her. Annie walks around the Chuppah seven times as she finally enters.
“Hello, Milady.” Jeff said as they share a smile.
