'Tenten is awesome' - Agreed. Even though she doesn;t get much screen time, we can get a dinstictly accurate ida of her personality by analyzingthe information Kishimot has already given us:

She's serious and career minded - reaching Tsunade's level isn't an easy job, you know?

The way she admonishes Lee for his antics several times in the filler episodes shows that she has an attitude, and at the same time, she's caring.

And she does provide information about Neji's fighting style in the Chuunin exams - Neji trusted her enough to tell her about his blind spot. This implies that they'r good friends, or at least, teammates who trust each other with their lives.

And we can also assume that she gets thoroughly exasperated from time to time with Gai and Lee's training schedules, and can relate to Naji's exapration as well. I don't see that as a ground for obsession.

Nowhere in the above few paragraphs, does it indicate that she's 'obsessed with Neji'. I don't know WHY so many NejiTenten fans make her all fangirly and weak - in the battle against Temar, she was at a severe disadvantage. But that doesn't mean that she's a worthless kunoichi - she's strong enough to train with someone of Neji's level and that's saying something.
