Two-for-one treat!! ^^

VK and HP are undoubtedly up there somewhere on my top 10 favourite fandoms. Here goes nothing:

VAMPIRE KNIGHT:

My OTP: Zero/Yuuki. Yes, it's been done many times - the taciturn guy with a sad past falls for thecheerful bubbly girl. BUT, they've known each other since they were children and have grown up together; and something about gradually opening up to a person just fascinates me.

Runner Up: Kain/Ruka

Honorable mentions: Kaname/Yuki, Shiki/Rima (I like their dynamics... AND it never hurts that they're aesthically pleasing. *is shallow*), Kaname/Aidou (I mostly like humour when it coms to this pairing), Haruka/Juri.

Crack pairing: ...this one's tough. But lessee... Rima/Ruka. Seiren/Aidou.

Ship that everyone likes but I don't: Kaname/Zero - same cse as Roy/Edward. Sure, there were homo-erotic scenes (remember the one where Zero was chained up and Kaname was leaning over him and whispering oh-so-softly?), but the target audeience of the manga if teenage girls, after all. And even those supposedly homoerotic scenes represent spite more than anything else between those Zero and Kaname. All I see between them is a burning hate. It's that simple. I don't know HOW anyone can ever think of pairing them together! It's just so... unreasonable.

Phew! Here's my Harry Potter preferences:

My OTP: Draco/Hermione

Runner Up: Harry/Hermione

Honorable mentions: James/Lily, Snape/Lily, Sirius/Lily, Ron/Hermione, Bill/Fleur, Cedric/Hermione, Tonks/Lupin.

Crack pairings: Harry/Fleur, Tom/Hermione (oh, I just LOVE time travel fics).

Ship that everyone likes but I don't: Harry/Ginny. Yes, I know - it's canon, but I just couldn't SEE it between them!! Sure there were a few vague hints about Ginny being shy around Harry at the beginning and whatnot, but as much I like Miss Rowling's writing, I think that putting Harry and Ginny together was a merely a convenience.

Also- H/Hr has some really cute fics to it! :D and time travelling fics are one of those guilty pleasures that are just such fun! A lot of your HP honorable mention pairings sound really intriguing and some, like Bill/Fleur I don't find a lot for...sad day.

Yes, our tastes do match up, don't they? It maybe because os the fact that, unlike in Naruto, the romantic implication in Vampire Knight are less subtle. The pairings are very concret, while in Naruto we're left to wonder whether NaruSaku/SasuSaku/SasuNaru will become canon.

Heh heh, I'd like to pick up on my daily Harry/Hermione dose actually - I've been neglecting it in lieu of Naruto. And yes, it's sad that there isn't much Bill/Fleur around - i think it's because they're already canon. And even though their dynamics are great, most writers like to write how two people get together instead of exploring their relationship after they get together. Add that to the fact that they're constantly overshadowed by the major pairings since they're merely secondary characters, and you get a shortage of good Bill/Fleur fics. It's just not... fair. *sigh*
