[Hiatus][Jan 2012]
Dear f-list,
What can I say? I miss you all? I wish I could give each and every one of you a hug for always, always being there for me? Supporting me, squeeing fannishly with me, offering love and understanding… I’ll just… sincerely apologize for not being there for you these last three months, the same way you’ve all been here for me (always T_T). I, obviously, fail so much at life, it isn’t even funny. I’ll need to draw up a list of Why I Fail So Much sometime and then have to rectify the reasons behind my horrendous failings. :|
I think July-September is when I’m most active one LJ, followed by moderate activity from October through December.
(And of course, Jan-June is official hiatus, as usual. Exams are just erk.)
The last three months have been a bit hellish, though. My parents took a full month of vacation back in October, leaving me in charge of the house yet again, which I did not appreciate as much as I did last time. That might have been because I have exams in January this time - I’ve never sat for the Jan Edexcel sessions before (I usually prefer the May/June sittings, because procrastination is my middle name), so I was left a little burnt out before October even ended, trying to balance household maintenance with studying and fandom. >_>;;
Speaking of fandom, I’ve delved into a few new ones like Code Geass (FFF-why is this so good? Oh dear lord, Lelouch. Just. What? WHY? ;_;), Ao no Exorcist, Death Note, True Blood, Hawaii Five-O, Game of Thrones, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Eden of the East etc, etc. Also, also! I’ve been on a D.Gray-Man kick for some inexplicable reason lately - perhaps, because of this and because of Allen and his stupid, stupid smile. Stupid boy. Why does watching you smile like that hurt? :’( I’ve only just re-watched the anime but I can’t wait to pick up the manga from where the anime left off (just who is Alma? @_@ A better question would be: who is Kanda? I know next to nothing about his past right now. :()
Fandom activity-wise, I couldn’t resist making some icons (mostly for Pokémon and Code Geass because all the pictures I found were so. damn. pretty) and writing fic (one for DGM, a few for Naruto and Code Geass). I was also planning to put up a fic!request post for Christmas but sadly, that didn’t work out. I resolve to rectify this in the coming July (it won’t be a Christmas request post, but still).
Even with exams looming so frighteningly close, I-I couldn’t stay away, as you can see. |||OTL

But I suppose I will have to stay away now, at least for this month, no matter how much I don’t want to. Final year of college and my last chance to give it my all and all that, you know? I'm sorry if I've left you all hanging these past months. I’ll be back in February, f-list, to squee about Code Geass and DGM, especially, and do some long-overdue memes, but until then I hope you’ll all keep being awesome and fannish no matter how hard RL tries to pull you down and under.
I’m curious - how many of you attempted NaNoWriMo this year? And how was Christmas/New Year’s for you? Mine was filled with postcards, and as usual, fireworks.
