I haven’t been on LJ for a month due to personal reasons, but during that time, I’ve been reading. Books, physics guides, doujin, medical texts, wiki pages on Japanese cultures, and fanfiction.
Especially fanfiction.

Fandom, why so complicated? D: )
Firstly, THANK YOUUUU~ That's possibly one of the longest SS rec list I've seen in a while. And I'm a bit surprised I do not recognise a good majority of the fics here - or, if I do, I'm only familiar with the title, not the actual work. OTL
I do however recognise Venom and Something I Can Do - I absolutely adored the latter, mainly for its mature characterization. Which is exactly why I found myself being "meh" at Venom. I found it while I was playing around with the M filters for SasuSaku at FFN, and while the beginning showed promise, the ending was thoroughly disappointing. Sakura being shy around Sasuke, as she is now, isn't something I find plausible - I get the piece was supposed to be... lighthearted, more or less, but even without recent canon events, I would've found the SasuSaku interaction a bit OOC.
I think I've read a lot of things by Melpomene Melancholica - currently making my way through Sunergos, which is becoming a fast favorite.♥ From the list, I recognise Iulia, Sangi, Feilyn, Dr. Brief's Cat, the blanket and every other author except, maybe, Larsgo and twilightdazzle, but I'm ashamed to say I've not read these particular fics by them. :'(
But I will read them, trust me - or, will at least save them to my PC to read at a later date♥
About the last three titles: I'm quite familiar with them, actually - titles like that are a bit hard to forget - and I think I did leave a review for The War Against Distance. I'm not sure if you've read it - but I go by "fading ink" on FFN, and left your one signed in as such. TWAD was brilliant, by the way - the aftermath of a war taken and molded into something hopeful♥

Venom I recced simply because it's one of the more recent fics. I'm of relatively the same opinion about it. Something I Can Do is a thoroughly enjoyable read, and a wonderfully well-written one, additionally the author is someone I have respect for. :)
Melpomene Melancholica is one of my favorite SS authors. Her use of description and her writing style is unique and stands out from the rest of the other SS fiction on ff.net. I always recommend anything she writes. Day 14 is by far my favorite of her work.
Larsgo is a good SS fic writer despite the scarce few she/he has written. She/He has a talent for the dramatic and the humorous.
That's right, you did leave a review! Thank you so much, so many people like to just fave or add to their alerts instead of reviewing. I'm happy you enjoyed the fic. I hope you will read the other two as well if you liked that one. :)
