I gotta say, I've sort of become a little bored of the Naruto fandom lately, mainly because of the points you set out above, but there is the occasional gem that I find even now -- but mainly through other people's recs, really.

Summary: Next summer’s blockbuster movie will be out of this world! …if the stars can make it through the filming without killing each other.
This is an AU, NaruSasuNaru but with a bunch of other characters, and it's long and hella fun. I really enjoyed that one!

Good Things Come In Threes by laleia
It's NaruSasu with implied OT3
Summary: Sakura finds herself the point of an isosceles triangle, and doesn't quite know what to do. Luckily, Naruto and Sasuke do.
I can't remember much of this one, but I've saved it, so there must have been something about it that I loved.

What Isn't Broken (Can Still Be Fixed) by Elizabeth Culmer (edenfalling)
Summary: Madara lied about the eye transplant's effects. Captured and brought back to Konoha, Sasuke must adjust to blindness and his unexpected survival. Remix of "Put a little fixing on it," by megyal.
I know you've read megyal's version; this is a wonderful extention of it. Megyal's was on the shortish side, and still so very powerful; this is a much longer version, extended to explore the little things megyal hinted at in hers. It's so lovely, I really enjoyed reading this. Like, really.

Ugh. I still love the Naruto fandom, Neve, but that special ~spark~ just... isn't there anymore between us especially with all the shit Kishi insists on pulling. why do I sound like I'm about to dump an abusive boyfriend? >_>;; I don't even follow the manga anymore unless, you know, Sasuke's in the chapter and even that's just because there's a high possibility he'll lose his shirt somehow. He always does. now, this can't fault Kishi for.

Thank you for the recs, bb! - I've just read GTCIN, and it was so adorable.♥ And just because I was curious, I skimmed Making "The Lucky" by ladygizarme - Sai as a movie star is a riot. He seriously needs to learn how to keep his mouth shut if doesn't want to give the paparazzi a field day. XD

And ooooh~ Anything by Elizabeth Culmer is a go♥ She does gen so well that I can't help but worship her for it - I actually have her The Way of the apartment Manager open on my tab now. ♥ WIB(CCSBF) is on my to-read list. I love remixes~ /BRB SAVING

And oh: I NEVER TOLD YOU BUT. I. actuallywentsnoopingsearching through your FFN profile a few times and have read most of the fics on your favourites already. Or at least, saved them. >__>;; NavyBlueWings' fics are amusing - something I read when I feel like passing the time, but anything by michelerene is much slobbered over with lurve♥♥
