So, I come with porn... I think.

So I just handed in my sn_exchange assignment a little before last week, and have been on a break from LJ ever since. It's refreshing, to say the least. Anyway, I discovered that lately I've been failing quite miserably at writing porn.

This way to the sexy meme. )

fanfiction, meme, character: orochimaru, fandom: naruto, nejihina, character: hinata, character: sasuke, character: naruto, practise, drabbles, character: sakura, orosasu, yaoi, narusaku, character: shino, shinohina, sasusaku, sasunaru, one-shots., pairings, smut, het, character: neji

Very good! I especially like the NaruSaku which was a really wonderful mix of serious and silly/playful.

Thanks~~! NaruSaku is surprisingly easy to write for - they're very... flexible, as a couple, I think. And in canon, I think their relationship would be as close to 'normal' as it can get.

Btw, I was wondering where that remix meme on your journal went? I was looking through your old fics, trying to decide which one to choose... and I ended up reading them instead. And by the time I got back, it just. wasn't. there. D:

P.S. Is it just me, or have notifications been a bit slow in arriving lately?

Yeah, I think Naru/Saku would be really pretty normal. <3!

Oh, the one time I decide to delete an entry (I find unused memes space-consuming...)! I will put it back up. That is a meme that would take time to do, anyway. (Am hoping it will catch on and others will do it too.)

yes, notifications are going really slowly.

Yay! You put it back up! I'm rifling through your fics as we speak! There's one question I've always wanted to ask you though, ever since you remixed Elizabeth Culmer's fic - how exactly did you do it? Is there a set process? Is it like writing a fanfiction on a fanfiction? Ot do you just expand upon certain aspects of the fic left unexplored?

Remixing is like fanfic, only instead of a regular canon source, such as a book or TV show, a fanfic is the "canon" source. In the remix ficathon you can't change the pairings or basic plot, but anything else is game. You aren't doing it as a gift fic, so no need to make it so the original author would like it. It can be a POV or tense change. You can make a secondary character the most important. You can expand or contract to focus on different events in story. You can change the chronology or the tone or even the theme to a certain extent (that's part of what I did). The ficathon moderator has written a fair bit on "what a remix is" and different strategies for a remix. Its pretty interesting really, you can read more of what she says here.
