So, I come with porn... I think.

So I just handed in my sn_exchange assignment a little before last week, and have been on a break from LJ ever since. It's refreshing, to say the least. Anyway, I discovered that lately I've been failing quite miserably at writing porn.

This way to the sexy meme. )

I'm not on your flist, but don't freak out. I came here through syrraki's LJ. The mention of OroSasu was a red rag to a bull, lol.

Just have to say that I loved it - your OroSasu one-shot, I mean. It was beautiful - in a cold, brutal and unforgiving way, but that's how I always like it. If someone can write a situation that is horrendously awful in a way that's beautiful, I can admire that. You pulled it off. Kudos! :) Your Oro was awesome (vain, eloquent, spoiled, psychotic) and your Sasuke was spot on (insolent, stand-offish, revenge-retarded). There were some awesome lines and images in here too.

"Orochimaru was a genius. But he was also vain."

Great line to start a new section with. Short and to the point; brutal, like Oro and the whole messy situation Sasuke has found himself in. It also manages to sum up a whole lot about Oro as a character. Nice...

"Orochimaru had always had a certain fondness for lost, hungry strays."

Again, awesome because it is true, and tragic because Oro is a psychopath and we all know what he does with his lost, hungry strays.

"He felt Orochimaru rearranging his limbs with care, as if he was something delicate - a marionette, perhaps - until Sasuke was kneeling on all fours, and staring unseeingly at the ground."

This one was really creepy (in a good way) because I had visions of that infamous scene in Silent Hill 2 when Pyramid Head does something pretty fucking nasty...

But yes. Loved this one-shot. Sorry for the weird, random stranger commenting situation, but since you put so much effort into writing something cool, I thought I'd tell you how cool it was. :)

Oh no wait, I came here through the OroSasu community. I saw syrraki's user name above and thought "Derrrrrp... well, must've come from there!" Clearly, I am a dumbass. XD

The moment you mentioned Sarah Tree, I checked out your profile I stalk people in my spare time, you see and- I. Wow. I knew the name looked familiar. Like syrraki, I always thought the author of A Day in the Life was a guy, because their writing styles seem to be more 'solid' or 'concentrated', and generally tend to be more straightforward, but- this is a pleasant surprise.

Before I reply to your other comment, I should tell you that your OroSasu stories were what got me into the pairing in the first place. I don't know why I chose to venture into the OroSasu fandom (there was jut something so appealing and twisted about it...), but I'm glad I did.

I think I'll go read the rest of ADitL now (I'm still reading through chapter 36)

Now, excuse me while I hyperventilate.

(I totally spent the weekend rereading ADitL. Ada, I didn't mention it to you because I think my adoration of the fic has gone past flattering and into sort of creepy.)

Ahem, so I'm coherent enough to reply again.

I'm glad you think it's 'beautiful' - that's quite a compliment. Writing Orochimaru proved to be a challenge at first - it took me a while to even get a glimpse inside his head, and to do that, I had to write down all the qualities I associated with our dear villain, 'genius' and 'vain' being two of many.

I think out of all the seven oneshots I've written, I was most enthusiastic about this one (SasuSaku and ShinoHina are a close second).

Oro is a psychopath and we all know what he does with his lost, hungry strays. - That we do. Is it bad that I love Oro for being the psychopath he is? I do remember being pissed off when Kishimoto started to emasculate the guy, and then killed him off altogether! Seriously, he had the potential to be the greatest evil-doer of all time! :'( Naruto just... isn't the same without him.

This one was really creepy (in a good way) because I had visions of that infamous scene in Silent Hill 2 when Pyramid Head does something pretty fucking nasty... - I'm to have evoked such strong mental imagery then! :DD I've been writing OroSasu for a year now, but this is the first thing I've actually posted, so I'm just glad it's not horrible.

And I'm totally cool with the random stranger commenting situation - it always makes me happy when people point out which parts they liked, and which parts they think could use more tinkering. This really did take a lot of effort on my part (effort that should've gone into into my exchange fic instead, but.. meh.), so I'm glad to know it paid off. Thank you for sharing your thoughts - it was much appreciated!

And your icon makes me want to write OroSasu crack! now XD Oh dear...
