i just realized that i haven't had anything to eat for just about 24 hours.
ug.
woke up with a cold on thursday (or was it wednesday), sniffled through the weekend in class with no sleep due to college students having a party in the motel room next door STARTING at midnight, had din sum with the parents after class yesterday, and called in sick to work today.
ugh.

i took callie to the kennel on friday and she did NOT want to go. that is, she wanted to get into the car and "go for a ride," but when we got to the kennel she would NOT get out of the car. She was shaking horribly - she really gets scared of the other dogs. After at least a good five minutes of commanding, coddling, arguing, and pulling her with the leash, i finally had to lift her out of the back of the car. i've never picked her up before, and i was surprised that she wasn't as heavy as i'd expected - she's forty something pounds, so that's about as much as the courier boxes i lift on a regular basis every day at work.

i'm planning to have a games party (a la new years eve and other famous gatherings my family has on a regular basis) in may to celebrate my birthday (#25) and a break from classes. a few of my school friends have said they might come - and i'm considering having it on memorial day weekend sometime. my bday is actually on the 11th.
