Some news... Well, I'm just sitting here icing my face. No, I wasn't in a fight or anything. I actually had four of my (impacted) wisdom teeth removed at 8 am yesterday, which means I still have one left. Joy. I remember that they put this pink pig nose thing over my nose and it was pushing laughing gas down my throat, which freaked me out a little. So I tried to stop breathing it, and breathe though my mouth instead, but I realized it was going into my lungs anyway. I felt the oral surgeon tie my arm off so he could put an IV in, and it really does hurt, needles and such. I got really really tired, even though I tried to stay awake. Well, not tired exactly, more like heavy. And I suddenly got really nervous and tried to move, and they were like, "Yeah, you gotta stop moving so much." It was very hard to. And I think I remember them putting something in my mouth to hold it open, and when I woke up, about 45 minutes had passed and I had gauze in my mouth. Hooray.
I came home and basically watched movies all day - I saw Suicide Kings, Borderline, and I watched like three episodes of The Office (and threw up during all three episodes). Yeah, my painkillers/antibiotics really didn't agree with me, so I stopped taking them on day one. Ouch? (But they made me throw up five times that day, so...) I took about three naps in a chair that didn't go back far enough, but it was pretty comfy. Geli was on my lap most of the day, too. ^^ (Ow, I need more ice.)
At least I got to eat for Thanksgiving... I've been eating eggs, applesauce, jello, pudding, crackers ('cause they get really mushy in saliva), milkshakes, and soup. Like just broth. I miss my solid foods. :( And since I ate at my mom's friend's house, we did end up eating turkey, not tofurkey. Sweet!
And for even better news (but what could be better than throwing up blood all day yesterday?)... I took my EMT certification written part of the test last Saturday, and I got my results Wednesday night, and I passed! So hopefully I'll be volunteering very soon. ♥
Yeah, that's it for my news. ;)
