one week forward, one week back
one week ago i was in alaska.
i was out on my morning hike getting ready to wrap it up to head over to the bear tooth theaterpub for the second indigo girls anchorage show. i had already been out for a run, gone for a hike, and visited the zoo (i got up when the sun came up. veeeeeeeery early....).
i miss alaska. so much. i had never been before and i had always wanted to go. now that i have a taste for it, i want more. i want to go to barrow next summer and see the polar bears. i want to be at the top of the world. i want to check out denali during the off season (but wait, i hate snow). i want to explore alaska to its fullest. i want to go back. it's different up there.
in one week from today i will be at the opposite end of the country, in lowell, massachusetts (that's hardly alaska!) for another indigo girls show. i'll be doing a short east coast run of shows around my (30th... yikes) birthday.
i've been super lucky to be able to do so much traveling this summer. i still can't believe that i went all the way up to alaska. amazing.
