Some of the instructions for assisting Cobol in his recovery were to keep him in a dark place (one Betta owner put a black box over her aquarium -with air holes-) so I put paper around his tank, the second part of the instruction is to slowly raise the temperature from the mid-seventies (F) to as close to 80 as possible. I don't have a tank heater, so that means raising the temperature of the room that Cobol is in - it's right around 77 in there now, maybe 78. A little too hot for me, but I hope it's helpful for Cobol.
So, being unable to stand such temperatures, I vacated the room in favor of the much cooler living room. I'm starting to think that he doesn't have constipation - last I checked, it was still floating on his side - and it's been almost 20 hours since he last ate… I so want to give him something to eat, but if it really is constipation, then it'll just prolong his problems. I'll be so happy at 3am to give him food again.
Networking + Notes
Wireless Networking is gooooood
Since it's too dang hot for me to hand out in the computer room - I'm out in the living room. But with this new wireless adapter, I'm not lazily channel surfing (nor am I reading a book for that matter) - which is quite nice. With this network access, I've got access to all the videos on my PC - which is totally sweet. I can stream the files, but it isn't the greatest speed - I'm only getting 11mbps where I'm at right now (oop - got it up to 36!) - but, I was getting 54 earlier today.
Notes
I've been meaning to ask my parents if my grandmother is out of the hospital yet, but I keep forgetting. I think that since they haven't said anything about her in the past few days, it means that she's out and at home.
Yesterday, I managed to freak out my parents by disappearing at 3AM for my hunt for fish-heath products at wal-mart... My dad was leaving for work, and noticed that my car was gone (he thought someone stole it) and came looking for me (which he couldn't find). He said "I got scared when you didn't answer your cellphone" - probably because reception in wal-mart and meijer aren't all that good... My cell didn't even ring.
It seems that my grandfather (on my mother's side) is going to be going in for eye-surgery here soon. First, one surgery to deal with blood on the back of one of his eyes, and then another surgery a week or two later for cataracts.
And lastly, on the side: I did see that I have around ten comments on my various journal entries and comments - but that's all in Thunderbird right now, and I don't have remote access setup on my Windows 2000 box.
BTW: I just spent the past ten minutes trying to get my wireless connection back - grrrr.
