I ended up spending most of the day sunning outside - laying there, listening to coldplay, and while lying on my stomach; I was also reading Shakespeare's "Othello." Ahhh, being at the beach is nice.
And in other boring news
Shopping!
Yes, I ended up going shopping again today - my parents and Stephanie wanted to get souvenirs, from some of the beach stores. There is a hell of a lot of them in the area, in a mile on the main strip; there were four big stores with nearly as many small shops. It's always crazy to be parked at one "Eagles" and look down the road, and just a few hundred feet away is the same store, and across the street is the competition.
I hate wearing clothes that say "City Name" blah blah blah - I think it's so dorky looking, but some of the shirts were really nice - I found two that I wanted (long sleeve t-shirt, and a pull-over zip up thing), but I couldn't find it in my size, they were always too small or too big - grr, just my luck.
Stephanie bought a hermit crab at the first "Eagles" store that we went to, and the damn thing pinched onto her index finger in the car - ironically, when she was telling my brother to be careful because if you pick it up wrong, it'll pinch!
And nada...
That was pretty much it for the day - it rained, so I wasn't able to get much sun later in the day, and I hate swimming, so I didn't do any of that. I ended up watching anime and doing a little reading (including a little /.ing). I have yet to walk the beach, I should do that sometime here soon, before I end up not having the time for it.
Side Notes
I forgot to install the Japanese Language pack before packing up the laptop - grrr. Not really able to read the Japanese posts is inconvenient...
Also, web-based gmail isn't as easy to use with Live Journal as I had hoped. It seems that I may be missing the comments that people are making; I'll try to keep on top of it though. Just FYI!
