Portrait of a Monday morning:
Ambling downstairs at quarter to noon. Dad with home-cooked grits on the stove, dumping a bag of cheddar cheese in the pot. Stretching out on the couch, watching Mystery Science Theater together all morning (Dad avoiding work). Laughing so hard our sides ache. Saying the lines the rest of the day, elbowing each other.
It was a really, really good day. :) We saw Superman, too, and though I'm not a fan, the movie was good. Now I'm waiting on a homecooked meal that's not fajitas or pasta, first in a long time, and I can't wait. Now if only the Sox could win.
Out for now.
