*yawn* been there. done that.
A summary of the story is that, Cal basketball fans created a fake IM name of a woman named Victoria, and used her to seduce a member of the USC team. They arranged a date for later that weekend, and managed to get the guy's phone number. When this player went up to take his first free throws, the crowd started chanting 'victoria' and the USC player's phone number. Apparently, he was quite embarassed, and missed most of the shots in the game.
Lots of people are saying that this is the most clever taunt they've heard of... but we all know that it's already been done.

In related news, The Sign came back last night! We held the sign up, I gave it to some fans to hold up front during warmups, then when I saw Matt I had him sign it! So it is now complete. Actually, when he did, he told me he wished we had come up with new material for this year. Whatever, I'm not the mastermind of these hockey-taunting-related capers. I just do the other kind, where we throw things at Haus and steal stuff. Low-brow capers. *shrug*

I nearly left my soul at Lynah last night. Or at least my voice. We are first up 3-1 on some sweet goals. Then it shifts, with 4 minutes left, to a tie. Fucking Clarkson. So of course we go into an overtime period. The players are really freaking tired. Just, incredible frustration. And then... the first overtime period is coming to a close... and Moulson rips a shot off at the net, IT GOES IN! The team storms the ice to celebrate, but the ref waves it off. The green light came on before the red light. At the game, it was hard to tell if it went in or not - most of us said yes, because well, that was the end of our 4th period of hockey. The webcast of the event confirmed that moulson fired the puck with .4 seconds remaining, and it went in the net with .1 seconds remaining. Oh. God. Well, the moral of the story is, we went into second overtime and finally scored a sweet goal about 10 minutes in. Cornell WINS! 5-3, in Sudden Death 2nd overtime :) Ugh, games shouldn't end at 11 at night.
I've gotta get ready so I can go to the music library to Sibelius it up... wish me luck at my orchestra concert! :-P
