And now with more roller derby!
Charm City Roller Girl tryouts were last night - and I made it! The reffing and practicing really paid off!
During tryouts there were certain skills that shocked me when I went to do them. My coordination in some areas has improved so much. My full body endurance is still with much to be desired.
Tonight is our first practice, and it will be a bit of a doozie. But I'm looking forward to it.
I will kind of miss my stripes though. A tiny bit.
I had so much support within the league it was really amazing. And everyone I knew that tried out made it too, so there is much to be happy about, I would have felt awful to make it without any of them.
The hard work is really just beginning. But it will be good work. And I'm so excited!
Hopefully practices go well and I might get to play in an actual bout by next fall's season.
I have a paper to finish by Thursday night and a report to finish by Saturday morning. Eeps!
