I ate my lunch outside today next to the river. Traffic at 2 p.m. was already beginning to snarl but the wind was blowing and birds were chirping. (I first wrote: "The words were chirping")

I called my mom to wish her a happy birthday and let her know PDX was celebrating her day.

It was a bonus day.
