You have been here and you are everything
So... it's been a while since I've posted here in LJ Land. I could write a long-ass post, but instead I'll make a list.
First, and foremost, I have a job. I've been gainfully employed for about four weeks now. It is not a Job In My Field or even close to what I really want to do, but it's a job.It's something to tide me over until I can do what I really want. It sorta came out of left field. I applied for the job and thought they'd ignore me. Instead they pursued me. I could tell you where I work but I have to post a long disclaimer about this, that and the other thing. I love my co-workers and 90% of the men I work with are gay. Much fun is had.
Second, I'm still doing all sorts of other projects. I'm working a lot. I'm tired a lot. I just need to win the damn lottery.
Third, I work near the water again, but just near a different river. I watched the Hawthorn Bridge lift during my lunch hour my first day and took a picture:
Fourth, I have to get up way too early but at least I get to take light rail to work. I get a lot of reading done on the train. I'm almost done with Anna Karenina.
Fifth, one day while I was walking to work, crews for the TV show Leverage were setting up to shoot an episode. People were grumbling about the traffic delays and I thought this barricade best reflected the grumbling.
Sixth, I'm going to NYC in a few weeks for Book Expo. I'm excited but I have nothing to wear. I will take lots of picture.
I promise not to be a stranger. I will take more pictures and update my blog at least once a week. Don't give me that look!! I will.
