Don´t listen to another just listen to yourself
Grendel woke me up at 4:45 and I got up around 5:15. I didn't feel like tossing and turning and figured I could nap later today - especially since there's going to be a blizzard and I won't be able to leave the house. *rolls eyes* It's too early for me to go out and get a Sunday NY Times so I'm using my quiet time wisely.
The stress of the "holiday season" and lack of a good night's sleep hit me Thursday and I went home early from work. I took Friday off and rested per akham4269's orders. He wisely took the car to work so I wouldn't be tempted to run errands and leave the house. He quizzed me when he got home and made sure I didn't re-paint the kitchen or put in new sod in the back yard. I really needed the rest. I have been such a space cadet lately forgetting things and losing my lists to keep me organized. I am working next week and then taking the following week off. I plan on Doing Nothing that week so it should help me recharge my batteries.
I'm reading Nine Chains to the Moon by R Buckminster Fuller. Slowly. I'm not smart enough to read it quickly but I do like that he wrote about doing more with less in 1938. It's too bad it took so long to catch on.
I finally bought a new camera. My old one is lost somewhere in postal service limbo. I watched the prices in the paper and then jumped when it came down enough for me to afford a new one. Here's a picture I took of some lilies we have in our backyard because our allergies wouldn't let us have them in the house.
