Best birthday surprise yet...
After returning from a small dinner with friends, on my door step was a 8x10 thin white paper bag. On the outside of the bag was printed, the LOUVRE, inside was one of the best gifts in the history of gifts given to me. It is a 8x10 print of the (cropped) La Jeune Martyre, by Paul Delaroche. A very eerie painting that I've been obsessed with for about 10 years now. And surprisingly enough, I've never had a version of it (not including the postcard from a friend on a trip to france) as I always wanted to have the entire version.
I'm so very, very happy. I can't quite fit it into words.
