Ha, I totally added the strikethrough books you hate mandate, it wasn't in the original I gacked from my friend Kim. You are wayyyyy better-read than I am!

I like the strikethrough bit. It was perfect for Grapes of Wrath.

I think I read a good portion of the books on this list in school (I guess the education wasn't all bad), but I also have always read a lot in general.

But seriously, so yourself a favor and italicize, then read, To Kill A Mockingbird. I just read it for the first time last year and when I finished it I hugged it. It might be my favorite on this whole list.

There's a big bookstore here that carries a large selection of English-language books, so I'll try to remember to look for it the next time I'm in.
