It's only been three days?

So much seems to have happened since I posted only three days ago. First off, that afternoon, as the bread was still baking, Pippo got loose and disappeared. He ended up gone for 23 hours -- conceivably the most miserable 23 hours I've ever spent. My pets are like my children and I was a wreck hoping Pippo would come back, and worrying about all of the things that could have happened to him. Thinking of him lying hurt by the side of the road in the cold all alone was one of the worst things. *shudder*

Still, the whole experience gives me hope that people are generally good. We had put fliers up all over the neighborhood and the area we thought he'd run toward. The day after Pippo disappeared, we got a call late in the afternoon from someone who thought they had seen Pippo wandering along the side of the road. It was fairly close by and we rushed right over and eventually found him. That was probably the most relieved I've ever been in my life, as well. He's been exhausted ever since, but otherwise he seems no worse for wear, outside of a little bit of tenderness in one paw.

The bread turned out quite nice from the bread maker, so it looks like I'll be making more of our bread in the future. I think I'll try wheat bread next. Oh, and a smaller loaf. I went with the XL loaf just for the heck of it and was surprised at just how big it truly was.

The day after Pippo returned (i.e., yesterday), I sold my first item on Etsy! It was one of the  handbag/totes I'd made. I'll have to make another and I need to get around to making more bags. I've gotten quite a few hits on everything. Today, I got a big order for some of  my skincare stuff through my regular site, which is always a good thing.

My computer still has to be operated upon, but that will finally happen tomorrow. It would have happened today, except for the fact that G is currently taking his mum to the airport for her trip home. I did it! I survived three months of an in-house guest!  Considering there was only one in-tear breakdown, I think I did quite well.  That said, I'm looking forward to  the privacy and  time spent with just G. Oh, and I can sing while I cook again!

So, in general, things are looking pretty good. The only current downside is that I think I might be getting a cold. The Zicam has been called into service and I'm hoping it stops the cold from getting any worse.
