At home... part the second....

Hey I'm feeling tired
My time is gone today
You flirt with suicide
Sometimes that's ok
Hear what others say
I'm here standing hollow
Falling away from me
Falling away from me

As she screamed and tore at the soft flesh of her arms and shoulders- a small sound barely registered in her mind, the soft click of her door. Sampson's head whipped around and he made a noise, a growl of warning to the dark skinned woman that entered the room.

She didn't register the words she spoke but the tone and accent reminded her of Papa. For some reason Sampson who did understand sat now quietly- letting her get close to the raving child. She watched the woman moving about the room like a feral animal more than a human. Indigo had yet to meet the womans attentive gaze yet, and for her it was a good thing. When she did the woman took back for a moment in shock muttering to herself something the girl couldn't make out.... everything jumbling in her head. She steadied herself against Indi's eyes. For if eyes truly were the windows to the soul, then the woman saw nothing but the inky black of the dark staring back at her. Finally, the woman regained her voice and began singing. She moved to Indigo and took her hands in hers and forcefully but gently removed them from tearing at her own flesh. She said something in a repremanding tone, Gently she wrapped the raving indi in a large soft blanket protecting her from further injury.

Day is here fading
That's when I would say
I flirt with suicide
Sometimes kill the pain
I can always say
'It's gonna be better tomorrow'
Falling away from me
Falling away from me

Inside herself she raged. She could feel the cold icy tendrils of other minds invading her consciousness. She tried to shut them out but all their howling voices became one in her addled brain. She saw herself in the middle of the black. Millions of faces in the dark stared back at her She yelled rushing into the dark. The dark receded- then she smelled something new... it was a pungent sweet smell she didn't recgonize. The dark smelled it too- and even though it made her a bit lightheaded, it soothed her... she could focus again. She was alone in the dark. She could barely see her hands- she repeated to herself, "Focus..." Slowly but surly she could see more and more of herself- she could hear another voice not softly singing. She focused on the singing and the light she wrapped around herself grew stronger, untill all of the dark was gone.....

Twisting me, they won't go away
So I pray, go away

The shock of slamming back into reality was painful. She reeled her head throbbed. Waves of recently realized pain coursed through her body. She whimpered softly. The light hurt her sensitive eyes, for the room was now terribly bright- but it made her happy... there was no dark in the light. She moved her arm and made an unpleased expression- they were bandaged and they felt sticky. Her mind once again started racing as she groped struggling to removed the bandages she felt a warm soft hand guiding her hand away, and even though she didn't understand words the tone, once again slightly reprimanding. She tried to Yell, but her voice harsh and cracked- barely managed another whimper. Her eyes adjusted slowly to the light. Once again she felt the soft warm hand soothingly touching her forehead this time... and she shrunk from it a bit... still unsure. Her mind raced with questions but the only thing she could vocalize was, the words, "too bright" over and over. The warm friendly voice shushed at her and the lights dimmed a bit.

Beating me down, beating me, beating me down,
Down, into the ground, screaming so sound,
Beating me, beating me, down, down
Into the ground

She looked around.... now that it was dimmerr she could see her room.... still in her room.... st the sight of the woman petting Sampson on the head she cocked her head. Sampson never let anyone but Indi touch him.... but there she sat humming and singing and Sampson's tail even wagged. She liked the woman.... she looked at the woman who said something to her, "Bad trip, but it is good to have you back petit fou." She called her by the name that Papa used for her.... and Indi just nodded softly.... she looked a the woman softly, "Papa? Lias??" She tried to sit up too fast and got dizzy. The woman just chuckled softly, "Not so fast... you had a rough day.... " Her accent was thick like papa's and it dripped off her tongue like molasses. "I already told Papa and he will be back soon, but I don't know your Elias petit." Indigo just nodded softly to the woman and pointed a bit at the computer making a small begging sound... safety behind the screen.... the woman chuckled again and just handed it to her. She looked to Indi and kissed the top of her head again and spoke once more before leaving, "I'll tan your hide if you take off those bandages and Papa will explain everything to you when he comes home."

With that Indi just nodded and turned on the computer.....

(falling away from me)
It's spinning round and round
(falling away from me)
It's lost and can't be found
(falling away from me)
It's spinning round and round
(falling away from me)
Slow it down
