It's Christmas we're talkin' about!

I hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas. I got some pretty awesome gifts from my friends and family members. I got some Yankees stuff from my uncle and my friend charleen, and my mom got me and anti-red sox shirt that I was thinking on getting. Although, I would never tell her that I hate the rivalry. My little cousin kept hugging me after I got her what she called 'the best present ever'. I'm not a huge Hanna Montana fan (in fact, I can't stand her), but if that's what makes her happy, then I'll oblige to it.

So far, this week's been interesting for me. I saw a cool movie with my friend, another family member got out of the hospital in time for Christmas, I got a chance to visit family and sleep over at their place, gave them cool presents and got cool presents in return, and I was able to communicate with a lobster at a resturant. (Don't ask =P)I treated my friend, Charleen to the movies on Monday, so I wasn't able to see all of the Giants game. I got back to my house around mid-third quarter to see that they were kickin' ass. Why can't they do that all the time? Well, I'm just happy that they won, and I congradulate the Colts on being LAST team to be perfect. 14-0 BITCHES! So, I'm going to continue to wish the Colts good luck as well as the Giants.

Recently, I had a conversation with screamsynscream and chelly_bear  and I promised them ficlets, so here they are.

This top one's for screamsynscream regarding the conversation we had about Alex and Kate Hudson.

"I just don't understand what went wrong, Jeet." Alex sat on the couch in Derek's living room explaining how his former girlfriend, Kate broke things off between the two of them. Derek comes out from the kitchen with two coronas from the fridge and hands one to Alex as he sits down with him. "I'm sorry things didn't work out, but don't beat yourself up over it, Alex. Besides, she isn't worth it and it's probably a good thing it happened." Alex turns his head away from highlights of the Calvaliers/Heat game blurring on the TV and faces Derek.

"How the hell is it a good thing?"

Derek mentally kicks himself for the mental slip-up. "Well, I mean, she broke up with you. If she really cared and wanted to be with you, she wouldn't have done that. Plus, do you REALLY think she was right for you? Because after seeing what happened, I knew she wasn't."

Alex takes a swig of beer and sighs."Yeah, but that's the thing. I thought she did care. Besides, how could I tell if you're really sorry about the break-up? You never liked her to begin with. Back in May when I was still dating her, you kept telling me how she was bad news and how I could do better, and even though she was spending a lot of time with me and I tried to make her happy, you still said the same thing."

A tinge of biterness and irritation laced the tone of Derek's voice. "Obviously I was right if she dumped you." Alex glared at him, "Gee, thanks Derek. That definitely makes things a whole lot better." sarcasm dripping from his voice as he faced the TV again with a bitter mood. Derek sighs. "Look Al, I know you wanted it to work out and I wasn't really supportive of your....realtionship with Kate, but.....it was only because I didn't want you to be with her..." He looks down at the floor just as Alex turns to him with curious eyes, only to meet his eyes again. "Then what DID you want, Derek?" Derek pauses for a moment to look Alex in the eyes before he touched his cheek and pressed Alex's lips against his own. Alex's eyes widened, but three seconds later, they fluttered closed as Derek continued to deepen the kiss, slipping his tongue inside Alex's mouth and both sides getting free with their hands.

When Derek finally broke it, a small whine escaped from Alex and their cheeks were flushed. "So, you WERE jealous." Derek cleared his throat, his voice slightly husky "I uh, couldn't think of a better way to say it or ask if you still miss being together...I know we've gone through a lot with each other over the years, but I could never stop loving you and-Mmphf!" Alex grabbed him by the collar and kissed him passionately. Derek pulled away panting. "I guess I'll take that as a 'yes' and you forgot about Kate." Alex just smiled at him promiscuously. He pushed Derek down on the couch and straddled him. And before they locked lips again, Alex murmured "Kate who?"

This one's for chelly_bear regarding the mini-fics she's been writing on Derek and Alex.

"Strike three!" Derek walked back to the dugout after striking out for the 4th time that day against the Rays and extending his slump to 0-18. Ever since Derek found out Alex was sleeping with Mark and broke up with him, it's been effecting him slowly until it got to his playing. Sure, his defense was still fine, but he just couldn't get a hit. Everyone on the team wondered why their captain wasn't quite himself. Everyone except Mark and Alex. They've been closer before and after Derek found out about them. During pre-game warm-ups, off the field, even during games like this one here, they've started sitting together, laughing, telling jokes and from time to time, he'd overhear Mark murmuring dirty thing into Alex's ear and get a low chuckle in response. Derek was torn, mainly because one part of him wanted to punch Alex in the jaw. The other part wanted the same thing but for extra measure it wanted to be generous and give Mark a pair of shiners.

He looks over at them with a scornful look on his face as they reached for their gloves and mitts and just when he does, Alex is looking at him with a sad, guilty look on his face. Even though, he's five people away from him, Derek is frozen by his gaze. He starts to search Alex's eyes for more, when suddenly, he feels a heavy pull at his heart and he reminds himself of what Alex did and turned away. When Alex tries to say something, Derek knocked his shoulder hard into him as he passed by, leaving Alex standing there for a few seconds before he took the field with a heavy heart of his own.

happy holidays, mark teixiera, derek jeter, merry christmas!, alex rodriguez, ficlets
