the good news
-rebecca says i rocked my orals. kyle, carey, and kathy were all really wonderful and surprisingly rebecca asked me the most difficult questions but i passed anyway.
-i accepted the offer to teach in connecticut for the next two years. i'm going to drive home with cara, laura, and lauren at the end of the month and spend some time in southern california (blech), but then i'll be in philadelphia for six weeks and then i'll drive from portland to connecticut in late august.
-next year's plans include: visiting julie and corey in ecuador, going to see solange in paris and jenny in turkey, checking out grad schools. i'll (hopefully) no longer be too broke to travel, so that'll be exciting.
-i've decided that i really, really like developmental psych and its ties to cognitive psych and neuroscience. i think i still want to do a clinical doctorate program but maybe something like U of Washington's clinical-developmental program would be a really cool mix of my interests. plus i have a giant academic crush on andrew meltzoff and i would love to be around him on a regular basis.
i'm making cake and drinking wine at laura's house tonight- call me if you want to come celebrate.
