So one day Alanna announced that she wanted to write something long and plotty before the S3 premiere.  We started chatting, and at various points this story was supposed to be about "K/L in the missing year," or "Lee+Helo+Anders in a Raptor searching for Kara," and even "Starbuck and Anders point guns at each other again."  In the end it turned out to be none of those, but what it was, was a lot of fun as well as a much-needed distraction on one rather sad, bad-news weekend.
