Woe. In apparent sympathy for wisteria_'s flu, I have managed to torque my neck somehow, so that any attempt to look up, down, or sideways results in shooting pain. The Starbuck-trying-to-remove-her-melted-flight-gloves, whimpery kind of pain.

The doc at the ER called it torticollis, or wry neck. I'm guessing it's a pinched nerve but at any rate it's a big, fat hassle. Have spent most of the weekend - and definitely the last 36 hours - curled up in bed, passed out in a drug-induced haze (alas, no visions). I haven't even been able to read, watch TV or play online, except during the brief half-hour of lucidity when the drugs have kicked in but haven't knocked me out.

Going to see the regular doctor this afternoon. Hopefully she can give me something that doesn't cause intense drowsiness, as that makes it rather difficult to keep track of a two-year-old. On the bright side, all this sleep is doing wonders for my skin! Fresh and dewy, like a baby. *g*

Lest this turn into a post of complete self-pity, I attach a link: The New York Times on designer dogs. Can't decide if breeding dogs to be hypoallergenic and apartment-sized is worse than breeding them to be good shepherds or retrievers. /facetious. But puggles sure are cute!
