He feels insignificant. He thinks nothing he does in life is ever going to matter. He's afraid of dying and no one noticing at all. So he tries hard to prove he's worth remembering.
I think there are a lot of people out there who are afraid of dying unremembered. I think some people have kids just to pass on some kind of a legacy. And I think the reason blogs are so popular is because people like the idea of leaving some kind of written proof of their existence.
Is it important to be remembered? Or is the fear of dying and not being remembered really still just a fear of dying?
Right now he's still trying to do good things to be remembered by. But he's said the he's considered doing bad things too because people more easily remember the bad over the good. I agree with him on this. Not only is it easier to remember the bad, but it's also easier to point it out as well.
