Headline Confusion
Even as a sports fan, it took me about two full seconds to process the title, "Canadian women rout Russia". Perhaps I've played too much Civilization II in my life. Oddly enough, I pictured me_apple and l3tang storming Lenin's Masoleum in Red Square, while horrified Russians flee the scene.
Meticulously Scored Life
I'm quite accustomed to listening to music through earphones while working on a computer, but this whole "walking around with music in your ears" business is entirely new to me. I just went for a brisk constitutional while listening to my iPod on über-shuffle, and kept finding eerie transitions between the music and my situation. The best was when Take Me Out reached its abrupt end just as I put my hand on the building's front door, only to have Sleepless City Treno from Final Fantasy IX start as the door swung open. Do the gates to Treno swing open as you enter (eurythmicprince, greek_artemis)? I think so... Regardless, I enjoyed it!
Work/Life Balance
I fell behind my (ambitious?) self-mandated schedule at work, and have been doubling efforts to get back on the wagon. So, this past week my life has consisted of three things: Work, iPod hygiene, and making sure that sarahrowe doesn't die. This week I'll be pushing back a little bit, and attending a Seattle Mariners game, which was one of my big goals for this term. I'm QUITE excited.
Edit: I forgot Streets of Fire!!!! This is the fourth thing in my life.
