half-conscious attempt at hitting upon a great idea for a film of some sort:
we look to escape the fact of life. we don't want to always have to work to be alive, especially when we consider that we will die at the end. so what's a compromise?
when you stop working, you waive your right to accept new information. provided you agree to stew for as long as you want in what you already have, knowing what and who you already know, you can give up working and contributing to society. who would continue to work? who would go back to work after a vacation of sorts? etc. etc. etc.
it's a little frightening. i enjoy the concept of it being a movie. how would said people be shut off from the world? all that fun be bop doop derp...
