here are some random comments (as found, not edited, just picked the top three, the rest were the same) from some totally innocuous news story about the candidates on some mainstream site (AP) on the Internet

And on top of that, she is nothing more than a token black women in the media. She would NOT be where she is if she were not black. She is a talentless hack with a weight problem. Not that weight problems are an issue, really. I have a weight problem, too, but no one has proclaimed that I might be the most influential spiritual leader in America today. Yes, some have made that statement about Oprah. What crock of poopoo . . .

Meanwhile on another site I am disallowing a very nice mid-western lesbian from posting the ridiculous rumor that there are secret video tapes of Mrs. Obama using language that might have been found on a elementary-school playground of 15 to 20 years ago (whitey? oh for goodness sake, that's kinda passe). Only people who had NO current social contact with American's of African decent (uh can we say Republican and/or right-wingnut?) would think that was actually how people speak.
I have gently tried to point out to this die-hard supporter of Mrs. Clinton that there is a certain irony that as an "out & proud" politically active lesbian she should so cling to and believe rumors and innuendo being floated by the likes of Rush Limbaug and "FAUX" News.
So far I am not making much headway though. Sigh.
