NYC Area people, come celebrate an early Bi/Bi-friendly Thanksgiving

Nov 12, 2006 21:44

At the next meeting of BiRequest being held this Thursday evening, November 16th, at 6:00 PM at Identity House located at 39 West 14th Street in NYC's West Village, we will be Celebrating a Bi Thanksgiving!

This will not be a meeting devoted to discussion of the problems bi folks confront. We will not dwell on negative stereotypes in the media, or rejection by some folks in the straight and gay communities. Sure we are faced with multiple challenges. But the rewards are worth it!

Come join Tom, one of BiRequest's facilitators and a group of supportive friends as we discuss the many reasons bi folks have to give thanks.

You are most welcome to share the benefits of being bi, from general concepts such as being honest with oneself, to the specific. You know what we're talkin' about. The hotter the better. This will be an evening devoted to fun!

If you can't make the meeting please feel free to join us after for dinner, 8:30-ish, at Chelsea Gallery Diner, Seventh Avenue at Fifteenth Street in NYC's West Village.

Especially in a large urban area such as NYC there is a lot going on for bisexual people, but it is sometimes hard for people from one part of the bisexual community to find out about what is happening somewhere else.

The New York Area Bisexual Network (NYABN) is a central communications network for bisexual & bi-friendly groups, event and resources in New York City and the surrounding Tri-State area.
Please visit our main Website, our MySpace page or call us at 212.459.4784 to find out what is happening in and around YOUR community.
