CNN was still in the middle of the breaking news announcing the Rumsfeld had resigned when the phone rang.
It was daughter Goddess Adriedea sitting in a neighbourhood Salon in downtown Albany NY, getting her nails done. She had momentarily stopped proceedings to call and gleefully chortle over his downfall.
Yes we REALLY do care about all the stuff I put in this LJ. This REALLY is how we all think, talk and live. Frou-frou nail stuff and international affairs hold equal weight.
I am awaiting breathless e-mail on same topic from my 80-something year old mother that should be arriving momentarily (just in case one of her children missed it . . . LOL).
