Hello Friends. I'm going to share with you my love for imeem today. Dan's actually been using it for awhile and we have some Dandybeards song up on it. Pitchfork also seems to be all about it.

Here's my Warm Weather Jams 07 Mix. Some oldish, some newish, all great songs for driving around (fast) with the windows down or at least pretending you are.

A little rundown of the songs:

1. Last Night- P. Diddy feat. Keyshia Cole: Dan and I sometimes listen to the local hip-hop station on the way to work because their morning show is often hilarious. One blessed morning we heard this song and instantly fell in love. I don't know if it's the synth-y 80s beats or the lazy Diddy vocals that do it for me but this is currently my favorite pop jam.

2. You Know I'm No Good- Ghostface Killah version feat. Amy Winehouse: I know I'm a little late in the game discovering this AWESOME song but I wanted to share it anyway just on the off-chance that there's someone else out there who hasn't heard it yet. I love Amy's voice and Ghostface attacks the shit out of this song in a way I haven't heard him do in far too long. The track itself reminds me of old Wu Tang (sigh).

3. Rehab- Amy Winehouse: This song is so addictive you'll want to go to rehab once you've listened to it and other cheesy "addictive" references. Just say, "no, no,no!"

4. All My Friends- LCD Soundsystem: I am forever devoted to DFA and all things LCD Soundsystem. This song has a forward motion that just doesn't quit and more great LCD lyrics that remind you that you're not the only one who feels old and tired and down about the "scene" but it doesn't stop you from showing up and getting your drink on with your friends.

5. True Love Way- Kings of Leon: I love Kings of Leon records, I love Kings of Leon live, and I especially love Kings of Leon with the windows rolled down speeding on the highway in the middle of no-wheres-ville Ohio with my baby.

6. Anti-Christ Television Blues- Arcade Fire: A little bit Springsteen, a little bit Southeast Engine, a really good, really American sounding song from a really great Canadian band. Really.

7. Major Label Debut (Fast)- Broken Social Scene: This is an "oldish" song that never fails to get me all excited in that flailing, bouncing, full of life kind of way. Another really great driving song.

8. Smile (Mark Ronson Remix)- Lily Allen feat. Dujeous: I was really into Lily Allen until I heard Amy Winehouse and got myself all in a lather over her instead (she also works with Mark Ronson). This remix is effortlessly cool though.

9. Flathead- Fratellis: I don't care that this song is in an Ipod commercial. I don't care that its very Libertines or Jet or what-the-fuck-ever. When it breaks into the ba-ba-ba-da-ba-ba-da-da-doh-ba-ba-ba-ba-da-doh chorus it is PERFECT.

10. 23- Blonde Redhead: Beautiful. Gorgeous. Soaring. I'm really looking forward to this album.

11. Ice Cream- New Young Pony Club: Another song from a commercial that I love. Naughty singing and hot keyboards.

12. Discotech- Young Love: Ok, so I really only like this song because I think the dude is adorable and I like to picture him singing.
