I've got big balls....
Healing from the surgery has been going well. Dan C lent me ton of movies to watch. So while I've been popping Oxycontin, I've been keeping pace with plenty of extreme Japanese Cinema and BBC's Tomorrow People.
I've had a couple weird pill dreams. One involving an SST video compilation that doesn't exist, and a half way to sleep vision of an alien in a flaming Madonna type halo-throne.
But, there has of course been some swelling that I've been back to the doctor about and got an ultrasound for today. Nothing that needed immediate attention and care, as the ultrasound tech told me. But there was an awkward non-disclosure of info and lack of explanation of this non-disclosure that left me feeling at unease. I guess I'll just keep laying down, not walking about as much as I had been and hope for the best come Monday when I hear back from the surgeon. Discomfort persists.
I'm skipping the Melvins gig this weekend because I don't think I'd deal with standing that long too well, nor with two long car rides in a small car. Doctor's orders not to drive for two weeks. I'm sure Brett will be able to record it for me.
But for tonight, I've made it up to WMUA for my radio show, right now I'm digitizing some old tapes so I can sell them on Ebay or discogs.
The weather has been as I'd hoped it would be, beautiful, though I'm not really able to get out and enjoy it too much.
Ho-hum. I just wish I could be going for bike rides.
