I actually thought a lot about this and the answer is that no I don't think I have a favorite book because it's too hard to choose. However, I will say that one of my favorite novels is Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut (Jr.). There are numerous reasons why.
First, everytime I read the book I realize something else that is being said. Of course, I've read the book countless times, and even still. As a matter of fact I read it again just the other day and still found something else. Now that's just cool.
Also, I really like the critique of...everything. I think that it is Vonnegut's finest work, he's got the wit and satire of Mark Twain (and it's apparent throughout the book that he is a twainian) but he manages to make it distinctly his own.
It's just a wonderfully written text. Interesting and fun to read, insightful, and very very bitingly funny.
My favorite trilogy of course is the Lord of the Rings business, but you already knew that of I could spend an entire day explaining why.
my all-time favorite short story is naturally my dear Mr. Twain. Extracts from Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven
because it's the most honest critique on the traditional view of heaven I've ever read in my life. I hope that heaven is the way he describes it, because that's exactly the way it's suppossed to be.
and of course, it's mark twain. I mean, come on, he's only the greatest author to ever have lived ever.
so that's my condensed list of favorites. though, I could read just these three things the rest of my life and probably be pretty happy, so I guess maybe it's the perfect list.

Describe 5 weird habits about yourself.
1) I'm very afraid of the dark.
2) I can't sleep without my carebear (Alex)
3) I only pay attention to about 50% of what is going on around me. I spend the rest of my time somewhere else.
4) I don't like to shower and only do it because of the social demand that we must not smell bad. even still, I shower as little as I can get away with.
5) I generally wear the same pair of pants every day.

I'm fine, just a little distant and not answering many phone calls.
I'm moving to Dallas (GA) at the end of February.
I met a boy. I think I might like him. (for real this time? we'll see).
I actually didn't just meet him. I've known him for a couple of years, but we just really hung out.
the unemployed life sucks. I'm bored.
None of you can possibly comprehend exactly how much I miss school. It's only been a week, and I'm dying.
