The things that I've loved, things that I've lost
Things I've held sacred that I've dropped
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need to forget

I knew better. I knew I did. I had to go to the mall because my iPod's screen was busted and an Apple store had just opened Saturday. I made an appointment to go there to get help on Sunday. I was told the problem was a pressure crack that is normal wear and tear and that they don't usually cover it. But the guy said he'd see what he could do for me. This wasn't something I bought because if they didn't usually cover it he'd be putting himself at risk by helping me - I was given a new (or refurbished, I don't really know or care) iPod as a replacement. As previously mentioned I didn't buy that he was just seeing what he could do for me but hey, I played along. I just wanted my iPod fixed.
Right now I'm a little short on cash and need to restrict my luxury purchases. So far I had been doing alright the last few weeks. But I was at the mall and I knew better. But it didn't stop me. Don't stop me now! HAhaha... ha.... <.< >.>
I made my way to the music store and decided to look what I could find - I was at the mall already so I thought, why not? I ended up purchasing two cds. First one was Audioslave - Out of Exile; it was $14.99. The second was No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom; it was $9.99.. can't really lose with a price like that. ;) I'm pleased with both albums, I like the upbeat (mostly at least) ska-new wave mix of Tragic kingdom.. one song on it reminded me of Culture Club, actually.
Out of Exile though? Yeah, it's considerably different from Audioslave's selftitled debut. I knew it was going to be softer but I honestly was abit taken back because it wasn't anywhere near as heavy or hard as their first album. Even the songs that are more rocking still don't rock as much as the songs from the debut. This wasn't something that was going to stop me from listening to the record and a few songs in.. it started to grow on me. Exactly like the last one. I think I still prefer Audioslave to Out of Exile, but I need to give it time to really sink in. Still though Audioslave (the band) kicks ass.
Sometime I'll have to get some Soundgarden from someone (might go by the name Hollowzero ;) ). I also should check out
