(no subject)
I admit I thought Isabella was on crack when she told me that Sunnydale is a party town for demons and vampires, and that they really do exist. She was kinda freaked out that I wasn't taking her seriously, so I tried to. Figured I'd ask Stefan or Vince if they'd heard about this or if it was just the drugs Iz was on. So when she asked me to take her to her office yesterday evening to grab some files, I was like hell yeah. Ok, so it was 'cause I knew Vince was staying there, but I also wanted to help her out.
So we get there, right? And she's going through stuff on her desk when she asks me to run a file over to the owner of the antique shop just a few doors down. I figured, sure why not, I could run up and say hi to Vince when I got back. Except I get there, and the owner of the shop turns out to be one of her friends. I'm thinking she looks normal enough to me, when the lady tells me her name is Evalon. Dude, Iz sent me to see her vampire friend alone!
It was actually okay, though. She gave me some info on vampires and then she did this really cool thing and it made her eyes turn red and she had fangs! First thing that ran through my head was "Holy shit, Iz wasn't bullshitting me!", followed by "Fuck, I hope she isn't hungry." But man, the stuff she can do! Turn to fog and bats, that just blew my mind. Maybe the coolest part was learning that there really is a Dracula and she's sort of related to him. Evalon did say that almost all other vamps don't look like her, their faces get bumpy or something, and they're not nice.
When I got back to Iz's office I was so busy telling Iz how cool it was that I forgot to run up and see Vince. We went back to her condo shortly afterwards, I wanted to drive around and see if I could see some more vamps and demons but Iz wouldn't let me. I think she's kinda freaked that I find all of this interesting instead of scary, but I told her Evalon gave me some good info about where not to go and stuff, so hopefully she'll calm down and let me go out after dark sometime soon.
