...Blue ...(1993,dvd) This film is part of a trilogy, White and Red are the other two, but was pretty boring, so boring in fact, that I removed the other two from my queue. 2/5
... Ghost World...(dvd) An entertaining film about two high school girls who like to play jokes on strangers. But of course there's a glitch when one of the girls gets emotionally encaptured by one of her "victims". The opening video is THE BEST!!! but not nearly enough to sustain the rest of the film. 2/5
... Troll in Central Park...(dvd) A shallow childrens animated story about a troll who gets banished to NYC's Central park, where he meet 2 children who are seeking an adventure. 2/5
... Pink Panther... This silly film with Steve Martin as Inspector Jacques Clouseau with all his comical antics in trying to solve a murder and the mysterious disappearance of the Pink panther crystal. 2/5
... Brokeback Mountain... Not just gay cowboys, this film delves deep into character development. There is time progression that is not difficult to keep up with and the scenery is stunning (even though it was filmed in Canada, the setting was Wyoming). The element of foreshadowing is used here several times, and I was able to predict significant story developments before they unfolded. Of course I cried during the film. Directed by Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) 3/5
...The Girl in the Cafe...(dvd) A very time-current film, just released in 2005, this story is about two strangers (girl/guy) that are somewhat withdrawn socially, but they somehow connect to one-another. The girl has strong opinions about sensitive social issues, and she finds a venue that will hear her pleas, but her new-friend questions himself that he trusted this stranger, invited her to accompany him on a trip, and realizes he knows nothing about her. The social issues are world poverty and AIDS, and the G8 summit that took place in Iceland last July. The ONE campaign has their video on the main menu of this film. The story may be dark and slow paced, but the issues are alive and real. 3/5
