Wow, it's alive! I've been buried in school work,linguistics exams and presentations and not a lot of sleep.T hen there was this little Christian holiday I actually celebrate and New Year's eve which is still a bit of a blur. My whole vacation has pretty much been spend in bed, catching up on sleep, reading fic and watching shows. I even watched all of Queer as Folk and got way over invested in a certain relationship and everyone around me had to put up with my sadfacing during the breakups. Uhm, anyway, hope you had a great Christmas (if you celebrate it) and a good start into the new year!
Another good thing about actual free time, is having time to finally create something. I was way excited for the Doctor Who Christmas special, hoping it'd spark some creativity, but was left underwhelmed.
It's not even that I didn't like it, I just didn't feel anything at all. I'd wanted Amy and Rory and the Doctor having mad adventures in space and time and instead there was whatshisface and the blonde plot device who deserved so much better. It felt like a weird romantic comedy with a rehashing of an old overdone Christmas story and, sorry, that's just not my thing.
The trailer however looks fantastic (not that I have high standards there), there was Amy and Rory and the Doctor and River and and and yeah, is it easter yet?
Have I mentioned my newly found love for Hawaii 5-0 yet? It's such a feel good show, not something I'll be very fannish about, but definitely one I'll look forward to watching each week. The last episode just completely blew me away!
