This is the funnest post for me so far. I had a good time writing it.
Here are some pictures I got off of a google search of cars that have been in my life at one point or another. Maybe someday I will update with actual family pictures but this was a fun little thing to do while I was suppose to be working.
This was my dad's car. Imagine this one in powder blue. We called it the blue beastie. It was horribly embarrasing. This car had to be 15 years old by the time I was in elementary school. Kids can be cruel. Would be a classic today if the damn thing was still running.
This is was my mom's car. The second car she ever bought brand new. The first one was right out of college but I don't remember what it was. She just bought herself a 2007 Subaru Forrester and it is beautiful. Here is the Oldsmobile we had when I was growing up. My mom's was yellow with a black top. Again, could have been a classic.
Here is the Chevy Impala that we got once my mom's Oldsmobile finally quit. We used to have people following us home asking us to sell this thing. My family knew nothing about cars. Years later after we sold it my mom realized what a gem she had on her hands and slapped herself in the forhead. Then she said she should have kept it so I could have driven it. This car was white. Oh well, such is life.
Next we have the car after the Impala. The Buick Skylark. White as well. Why did my mom like white cars so much? I don't know.
Then I moved out........
This car we paid $300.00 for while I was pregnant with Damian. It lasted a whole whopping 3 months. Eric's mom drove it and fucked the transmission.
She bought us this to make up for ruining our last car. It was a light blue. This one last a record 6 months. It was a piece.
Then we got this piece from a neighbor. What a piece of shit this one was. My history of cars with Eric adequately reflects our relationship. This one must have had sawdust in the transmission when we got it because the tranny and clutch didn't last long. It was a hardtop that's the only difference from this picture.
Then I left Eric. This car I bought a few months later with my tax returns from working at Wendy's. First car that I bought as a result of my hard work as opposed to a welfare check. It lasted appropriately longer than the others. I had this one for two years.
This is the first car I ever financed. I loved this car. It was a teal green and I worked my ass off to pay for it while going to college. After Dominick was born I totalled it. That accident still makes me cringe. Didn't get hurt at all but it was just a stupid rushed kind of accident. This car saw MANY accidents. The first being while I was parked at a state park for a picnic. Somebody backed right into it and the front panel and door had to be replaced. Then I was at college and it had been snowing. I couldn't stop and rear ended someone who had stopped at a cross walk. They damn near ran into a pedestrian. Oops. Then same snow scenario in the Albertson's parking lot and I ran into a light pole. That one didn't get fixed until BJ got T-boned in Idaho and once again the side panel and driver's side door had to be replaced. Then I totalled it......
Then I drove around Bj's Civic that we got in Idaho. It was too small. I hated it for other reasons as well that are personal and we won't get into here.
Then I got a Grand Am so I could sell the bad memories. My friend Jen called it the smurfmobile. Lots of good times were had in that car. Lots and lots of good times.
Then I met Kip. He had a kick ass Toyta truck. This is really the truck taken in our driveway. I LOVED that thing. He sold it. Too many memories of the past. I completely understood although didn't condone selling such a kick ass vehicle. Life goes on.
He sold it for this (real picture).......he was trying to be a little boy again. It didn't last long. He eventually pulled his head out of his ass.
Then he got a piece of shit truck that he owned about a week. Then he went to Fla and bought this. He drove it back to Oregon when he pulled his head out of his ass. We traded in the Grand Am and this for my current vehicle.
This is my car today. I love it. I've had it almost three years now.
This is an actual picture of Kip's car today. He likes his cars. He takes real pictures of them just to look at.
