[there's the sound of the pages of a book flipping over and around, along with an odd scraping sound as Thing Jazz (Luke's Starly) hops around the table. Luke ignores his Starly in favour of trying to read the magic spell book he got/]
...is that an 'l'? Let me see... to cast this spell I need uh... [a pause as he tries to decipher Howl's barely legible handwriting that makes chicken scratch look neat.] ...a surface to work on. Okay. An inanimate object that's light... [another pause, followed by a loud squawk from Jazz accompanied by a loud fluttering of wings as the redhead plucks a feather out from the Starly] and erm... I need to... visualize another location in my head? Okay...
[another slight pause, and then more flipping of pages] Now I just have to think this phrase in my head while staring at the feather and the place and... [barely a moment passes before there's a few pops, a crackle and suddenly a loud BANG sounds out, causing Jazz to squawk in fright and take off while Luke tumbles down from his seat to the floor with a loud thud.]
