Busy week!
It's been one heck of a busy week for me.
Had an awesome time with batphantom last Friday eve at the Chinese lantern festival. (Does anyone other than me say awesome anymore?) Some of the creations were mind-boggling. The stand-out one for me was the approximately 50 foot-long dragon that was made up entirely of china place settings (the plates, bowls, spoons and teacups you'd find at your run-of-the-mill chinese restaurant). The detail that they put into these was astounding.
The weekend was spent at a familial wedding which got me back too late to participate in gaming on Sunday. Sorry to squid_pants and the rest for not showing up, but I had a batch of school work to catch up on and didn't get in until well past 3pm.
Monday was a great concert by Covenant at the Opera House. Lethoric , khbrokenmachine and I had a good time and all but the second band put on a great show. Imperative Reaction managed to lose all of the energy that Rotersand (who were amazing) built up as the opening act. Covenant was on the ball and played a batch of stuff from their new album along with some old favs. Another plus was bumping into old friends I hadn't seen in a year or two. All-in-all, a good night!
I'm likely going to be laying low for the next couple of weeks. Got hit with both a political science essay and a philosophy essay that are due in mid-to-late October, so I expect to be eye deep in all of that.
