Fanmix: Smallville - Chloe/Clark - "What We've Become"
So, this is the product of how I feel about the Chlark relationship in the past two seasons or so. Angst, pretty much. I had been working on this fanmix off and on for awhile, and after procrastinating from my other fandom projects like posting fics and other picspams, I got this finished, lol.
And believe it or not, I still have hope for them! /~*DELUSIONAL~*
Oh and as a bonus (and further procrastinating on my part from other pertinent projects), I have written little short drabbles for each song. Y-Yeah. Enjoy, everyone.

Nights are the hardest. When she doesn't have to worry about superheroes and supervillains and the world dying right before her eyes (like everything else has), Chloe dreams. She has nothing left to dream about, but she dreams of him anyway.
02. Cat Power - I Found A Reason

Everything is collapsing around her, shattering like deafening nightmares, but she stands her ground and waits for him. Clark Kent will come for her.

She remembered their first kiss, pure and innocent. He tasted like sunshine. She remembered their first everything and was surprised to find that Clark remembered them, too.

"Chloe," Clark said, "You don't really love him."
Chloe scoffed. "Clark, you can't possibly know how I feel or who I love. You're not me."
Clark took her hand and held it up to his heart. Her breath hitched at how heavy and fast it was beating. "I know. I know you feel for me."

Clark wrapped his arms around her, felt the tremors running through her body, felt them run through his own body.
"You'll be alright," Clark murmured, lips to her forehead, "I'm here, Chloe. I'll always be here."
06. Joey Ryan - As It Must Be
"Maybe we'll come out of this.
Maybe we'll come out of this unscathed.
Just like the story said ever after we shall be ok, ok."
"Clark?" Chloe smiled weakly, her hand reaching out for him.
Clark held it with both hands. She was shaking, cold. "Right here, Chloe. I'm right here."
"We'll be okay, right? Earth, I mean?" She asked. She coughed slightly and winced as that was too painful for her.
"Yeah, we'll be okay. You already saved the world, Chloe. If it weren't for you..." Clark began, rushing in his words. He wanted to tell her everything. But now there wasn't any time.
"No," She said, "You did. My superhero."
"Chloe, I'm going to take you to the hospital now. Just hang on." He said, preparing to take her into his arms and super-speed to the nearest hospital. "Just hang on, Chloe."
"Clark, I love you," She breathed.
Her eyes closed, and his world shattered.
07. Trespassers William - Lie In The Sound
"I love you more than I should.
So much more than is good for me."
She loved him so much that her heart hurt. He was bleeding, she could see that. Her eyes had been trained after knowing him for so long. As Clark flew into her arms, Chloe knew that it probably wasn't good for her, but she would probably continue to love this man for a long, long time.
08. Coldplay - Warning Sign
"When the truth is,
I miss you.
Yeah the truth is,
That I miss you so.
And I'm tired,
I should not have let you go.

After everything that had happened to him, there was only one place to return to. He emerged from the smoke and disaster and saw home waiting for him. Chloe Sullivan.

They lay next to one another, a soft blanket beneath them and the starry sky above them. Chloe laughed at a joke he made, and he reveled in the sound. Clark put an arm around her waist and drew her closer to his body. They were better like this. They were better together.

** I realize that I've put this song in ALMOST every single Chlark fanmix I have *ever* made, but this is THE Chlark song for me. Anytime this song plays, I think of them. So, forgive me for re-using it. :) **
Clark pressed his lips to her skin, learning the taste of her tears. He kissed her gently over and over, his lips trailing down until they found her lips. They, too, tasted of her tears.
