Mummy Crossovers?

Dec 30, 2010 21:22

Hello Everyone!

So I just rewatched the Mummy for the millionth time and I just can't help but think that Jonathan would make the perfect Drone member. Has anyone written such a crossover? I would love one no matter how long. Thanks!

I can't help with this, but I would definitely love to see it! I was just rewatching The Mummy a few weeks ago and Jonathan did remind me a little of Bertie and his friends, haha :P

And couldn't you see Bingo mooning over the lovely Evie and saying she's a tender goddess?

My brother and I have actually talked about this! I would love to write something of this sort, and if someone doesn't beat me to it I may give it a try. But I'm afraid that it would take a veeeeeeeeery long time. (Curse you, real life!)

I can see that! krisreinke December 31 2010, 22:12:56 UTC
Offie Prosser to sponsor the expedition.
Gussie Fink-Nottle for the 'scholar' connection (You do know that the Egyptians mummified sacred animals as well as humans - although I'm not sure if there were any sacred newts.LOL)
Stiffy because... he does need employment. As does Bingo - he of the 'tender goddess' addiction.
And Bertie? I don't know - maybe his aunt makes him take a job or he just has to write things up for his aunt's magazine. Whatever.
Title?
Jeeves and the Mummy's Curse.
Best line
"I have your tava(?) leaf tea, madam. A restorative of my own creation." *snicker*

OH - and think of all the wonderful RKO monster movie tributes one could work in. How old was that first mummy movie anyway?

Lol. The Sacred Newt! Now I'm imagining all of them in Ancient Egypt. The first Mummy movies was in the 1930's I think.

Forgive me for this! Egypt, being a desert kind of place that only gets periodically flooded for the growing of crops, doesn't really have many newts. Lizards, but not newts with their need for water. But I think this might work for the lovable idiots in question. What if they all get suckered into going down to look for the Sacred Newt, with Jeeves facepalming all the way? Could find the Sacred Newt, only to figure out it's a lizard and Gussy gets all disappointed, cause who cares about lizards? Maybe a mythical Salamander type thing, lives in fire? Here's another plot bunny that might help, just fudge the time a little http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_with_the_Newts
