Very nice.

But can I correct a couple of Britishisms?

Valet not butler, first of all. And Bertie is VERY unlikely to drop his h's in hospital, it being a cockney working class kind of accent.

Also I think that int he last line of the 2nd paragraph there should be a "make" in between "cannot" and "one's".

Sorry to give you lots of criticism. I did like your story. it's sweet and tender and passionate.

If you want a beta to check for Britishisms (or if anyone does) then i'm willing to do it. I have the creds - being British and living in London.

Thanks for reading it.

And certainly - I do appreciate the help. This is a new fandom for me to write in so I feel awkward going to any usual betas I have, since they are not too familiar with the background. I'm currently at work but I'll certainly make those changes when I've got a minute, as I would like it to read as flawlessly as possible, you know?

If you wouldn't mind beta-ing for Britishisms, that would indeed be very helpful. I don't write that often, maybe once a week at most, but having someone to help would really be awesome. Thanks for offering!

Where should I send something the next time I get a plot bunny?
