I Forgot ...
I get to go down to the Mid High tomorrow and raise some serious HELL.
The Friday before Spring Break, Micah was not feeling well. Before class, she had ducked into the bathroom that the choir teacher lets the choir kids use during class - its right by the choir room, although it is a teacher's bathroom. There are two choir teachers, Ms. Gravley and another lady (I cannot remember her name offhand). The other teacher finds Micah in there and makes her come out, saying "You aren't supposed to be in here, this is a teacher bathroom." (Hello, then why let them use it at all??)
So about 2 minutes before the bell, another child starts throwing up. Micah's gag reflex trips and she starts to throw up. Not wanting to toss her cookies all over the choir room, she runs from the class, hand over her mouth. Lo and behold, the previously mentioned bathroom is now LOCKED so she has to run to the one in the main hallway.
I want to add here that as she was leaving the classroom (running) she made eye contact with Ms. Gravley.
At that point, Ms. Gravley tells the other teacher to take roll again. And then proceeds to count Micah and the other child who ran out to throw up TRUANT. Not absent .. because roll had been taken earlier and they were there all class period .. but TRUANT. Because she told the principal that she had no idea where they were.
So Micah had to do Saturday school last weekend and a truancy goes on the permanant record.
Anyone question why I am going to raise hell?
