In life, we make choices, from the first minute we are born until the minute we die, we make choices. the first few years of our lives we have our parents to aid our choice making. They help craft our minds to how they would see any given scenario, shape us into them via many protocol. The more we age we gain more responsibility which piles on more

My best response i have to this is already written above, but i'll bring it down here for ya.
"You can take that step forward, or you may not. However, while blinded by others insight you may forget that there are other paths, not beaten into the norm quite yet, that you may take at any moment. To take these paths, simply look around you look in front of you and behind most of all, but do not to forget to look at your sides for that is where the hidden paths lie. While the beaten path may be more clear and sometimes easier, we are given a choice for a reason."
Reread that.
Now, only you can control your life, you can flip the coin of life and death when ever you want. i'd say thats quite a bit of control. Having that all said, Say you were to decide that for yourself, it would be easier to get a job first while not in any type of school, or perhaps you would enjoy doing the opposite, its up to you and not anyone else. However i can't garauntee you won't grow up, with each word and actions you are there to see and take into your mind, your mind developes itself. whether you act mature or not is irrelevant to growing up, what really matters is how well you can observe a situation and get it under control. You wouldn't expect a 9 year old to go out and buy a car by himself would you? no, you start doing that when your almost twenty.
Believe me or others or choose not to, but there is no system. Thats right, i said it, NO SYSTEM!!! NOOOOO SYSTEEEEMMMMM. there is no order or part of the government telling you what to do and what not to do with your life. There is the normal beaten path that people like to follow, yes, but thats simply because people percieve it as easier. but there are different ways of life than the average "Leave it to Beaver" family, you just have to think of them before you can percieve and dream for them.
While at sixteen it may seem as if your betean down by your parents and school, you actually do have alot of choices before you, but due to choices made by others for you when you were younger, the big choices won't need to come into affect for another year or so. Don't feel so stressed, you still have time to sit in lucsious clearing in life and enjoy the breeze while thinking about the future, i would suggest though, making a choice now but don't make it an adamant choice be able to change it, make it flexible so that when the times comes, if you don't like your choice, you can redirect yourself down the path you see as the best at the time.
